Guidelines
- Wear loose comfortable clothing - layers are a good idea as you will get hot and cool down quickly in relaxation.
- Please arrive in plenty of time for your class. If you do arrive late do so with the minimum amount of noise and disturbance. Often classes can start with quiet breathing and meditation and we ask you to be considerate of others. Doors will be locked 15 minutes after class starts.
- It is advisable not to eat or drink immediately before your class. We recommend waiting 1 and half to 2 hours after a meal and an hour after a snack. Avoid coffee, alcohol and sugary foods.
- Remove outdoor shoes and switch off mobile phones before entering the studio space. Please keep belongings off the studio floor during the class.
- Please tell the teachers about any medical issues or injuries. You may want to seek medical advice from your G.P. before starting yoga. Low or high blood pressure and any eye conditions can have an impact on what postures you do and how you do them so please tell us. Generally Yoga is excellent for most conditions.
- Talk to us about what class is best for you. We are happy to advise. Work at a pace that suits you and don't over exert yourself. Listen to your body. You can call us on 0113 2620055 or info@theyogaspace.co.uk
- Like anything new ,Yoga takes time to get used to. It is advisable to try at least 6 classes- even if they are different ones!! Our teachers are very experienced and we will do our very best to accommodate you and answer any questions you may have. Yoga is not just a physical practice, the combination of breathing techniques and particular asanas create a particular relaxed and definite physiological and emotional shift. The longer you continue doing Yoga the more this increases.
- Pregnancy- if you already have a regular Yoga practice it is fine to continue with your normal Yoga class, making modifications as your pregnancy progresses. If you are a beginner it is best to attend our Pregnancy class.
