What is Yoga?
The word 'yoga' is a Sanskrit term which means to yoke. Yoga seeks to bring about the union of mind, body and breath. The yoga practitioner seeks to join his or her individual soul with the universe thus seeking a more meaningful and peaceful existence.
There are many different types of yoga and each offer a different path. Hatha yoga focuses on the body as a means of bringing wholeness and balance by using postures (asana), breath control (pranayama) and meditation.
At the Yoga space we teach mainly Astanga Vinyasa Yoga which is a flowing, dynamic sequential form. We also offer baby yoga and pregnancy yoga. Everyone can practise yoga regardless of age, health or ability.
“Practice and all is coming.”
