In this one-day workshop, we will explore the theme of fear. We will encourage an attitude of playfulness as we explore and experiment with some areas of practice where we might encounter fear, such as jumping through, jumping back and arm balances. We will reflect on whether fear is a help or a hindrance, the ways in which our fears limit our experience of life and how we can move beyond fear.


The day will begin with led sitting meditation, followed by a dynamic led Ashtanga class with an emphasis on developing trust and understanding technique, in transitions like jumping through and jumping back and arm balances. After a generous pause for lunch, we will enter into the afternoon session with meditation, followed by a period of guided contemplation, where we will explore the theme of fear. We will end the day with a sequence of restorative poses, an opportunity for us to practice letting go, by being present with and open to whatever we are experiencing.

Please bring vegetarian lunch, a notebook and a pen.
